ACE Gift Processing Training provides comprehensive instruction on recording, managing, and processing charitable gifts within ACE. Designed for staff responsible for gift administration and related fundraising operations, this course walks learners through the procedures and business rules used to ensure accurate gift entry, donor recognition, and financial tracking.
Topics include:
- Gift Processing session management and workflow fundamentals
- Processing gifts for individuals, organizations, and foundation donors
- Managing anonymous gifts and tribute gifts
- Correcting gift transactions within open processing sessions
- Recording gifts made on behalf of another donor or organization
- Working with pledges, pledge payments, and multiple designations
- Managing payments toward existing pledges and pledge-related transactions
- Processing matching gifts and matching gift claims
- Recording gifts-in-kind and associated hard and soft credit scenarios
- Managing donor-advised fund (DAF) gifts and gift intentions
- Processing qualified and non-qualified IRA gifts
- Understanding gift disbursements and related transaction activity
By the end of this course, learners will be able to navigate gift processing workflows, accurately record a variety of gift types, manage pledge and payment scenarios, and ensure gift records are maintained according to Foundation policies and procedures.
